The "T"

The subway system they have here in Boston is most commonly known as the "T". The first day we arrived here we got a chance to catch it to the mall. We catched it a few times after that as well. You first need to walk down stairways that lead you underground. The station in Harvard Square has a big area when you first walk underground, with kiosks that sell fruits, smoothies, Harvard clothing, and jewelry. It`s very hot, stink, crowded, and loud at the stations. You need to stand in long lines to buy your subway ticket at the machine, then you insert it into a machine that then feeds the ticket back to you. The doors then slide open and you walk through. The subway moves so quickly! So, you need to make sure you`re on, and with everyone else in the group, or you`ll easily get lost! We had to stand while in motion most of the time, which is different from standing on the city bus at home. It moves much more faster! The people on the subways are often questionable... so we made sure to stand together the whole time. Most of the time, we had to transfer onto another subway to reach our destinations. Overall, the subway experience is interesting; let me just say that I`d rather drive a car. (: It`s kinda scary to think that soon, we`ll have the same kind of system running in Hawai`i!

I think that I'll have to agree with you No'i, I'd so much rather drive a car than have to catch "the T," but they do keep it pretty clean for a public transportation system. One thing that surprised me was how quick everything happens. You seldom find yourself waiting for another train and one you're one, your stop is usually no more than half an hour away (well, during our experiences). It surely was something else to ride the subway and I'm sure that I'll remember it even as the days and weeks go past.

The "T" is cool, I've been on other subways but I think they're all the same. The only thing I don't like is that you can really meet lets say, not the most "fortunate" people in the world--some to say are very rude to others. But, it's a quick way to get around Boston and a cool way to meet new people.

I think the subway system is SUPER COOL!!...

Although it's not the pleasantest place to be it's a great way to get around "FAST." I can just think of all the memories that we had on the subway. I think it's a great experience to ride the subway with everyone. I have so much fun trying not to trip and fall because boy it goes really fast and one move you're dead or you missed it or something went wrong.

I know scary in Hawaii!!

Oh NO!

Riding the "T" is very cool because we don't have them in Hawai'i(Big Island) and I thought it was an interesting experience...

Riding the subway is cool. It's a different experience. There are good things and bad things about riding the T. It get's you wher you need to be in a quick amount of time and you get to meet different people. On the other hand, there are very skeptical people that you can never be too sure of & might even be VERY upfront & rude.

Why we can't take pictures on the subway I will never know. I was psyched to go on my first subway ride. I wanted to document it my first ride with a picture. I got busted from this weird security lady. I still took one, and ran for my life.~ No'i wasn't lying. It was hot, stinky, and people in there had a staring problem. How rude. Anyways, if your a surfer, the T is a great place to practice your balance. just use hand sanitizer... lucky for us we always had Kahea packijng it for us.
