Hardcore Drugs by Thomas Fantasia

Aloha. Thomas Fantasia is one of the Aquinnah Wampanoag students. Last night he was inspired to write this rap and I recorded it during tutorial so that I could share it with all of you. I hope you enjoy his poetry. Thanks Thomas.

Hardcore Drugs (Click here to listen to the rap.)
There’s some hardcore drugs out there
There’s some hardcore drugs out there
Everyday people get high
Then they get sick n’ that’s not a lie
There’s some hardcore drugs
Let me tell you ‘bout these opiates:
Opium and Morphine
Now let’s not forget about d-methamphetamine
Or instead we could call it death amphetamine
You may take more than what you wanted
Then your withdrawal symptoms be more than what you called it
After this you won’t be very safe
‘Cause this is when your brain will begin to crave
Then your body be constricted
‘Cause with this drug you can’t just kick it!
I made this rap advance
So that you’ll all have a chance
To listen to what I got to say
That these hardcore drugs ain’t the way
To handle your life when it’s down
Then you will hear that sound
Because you’re not just fine
It’s the end of the line

GREAT JOB THOMAS!!....Although we didn't have any homework for the day I thank you for preparing something for the class. Your hard knock life "drug" rap was awesome. I'm happy about your perspective on drugs and how it has bad effects. I'm proud of you my best friend!!!

Not bad at all man, Not bad at all. You now stay either one pimp or a playa. Way to go on making facts about the drugs, we discussed in our classes at school, to take place in your rap. GREAT JOB MAN!

This Thomas and Thomas Kerr have mostly the same interests. One thing the both love to do is making up raps and performing them for us over here, and I like how this Thomas applys the things he learned about drugs and alcohol to his rap.

I've never seen someone share an original rap with a group of people but I loved Thomas's rap. It was full of information and it got straight to the point. That must've taken sooo much guts to do that in front of all of us and I give you tons of kudos. You did a great job and I hope to hear another one before we leave!

Wow! Good job Thomas. I always hear him singing and occassionally rapping. I'm glad that he was able to use something that he likes or enjoys to do and incorporate it into what we're learning about.

I was there. I saw everything first hand. All I got to say thomas is that you hit it! Too bad you can't hear my remixed version "WHAAT! and YEEAAAHHH!" cause it would have been slammin if it did. Great originality, and keep it up.
