Grace Gomes: the not so graceful one

Grace Anne “Dancing Sunflower” Gomes is a 17-year-old soon to be senior at Mashpee High School. She was born in Hyannis, Massachusetts and belongs to the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe. Grace loves photography, surfing, playing soccer, going to rock shows, swimming, hanging out with friends, and listening to music. She also likes name brand clothing as well as flats, flip flops, and sneakers. She is an American Red Cross Certified lifeguard and is also a blodd donor. She is 25% Native American, 25% Portuguese, and 50% European (French, English, Scottish). Her parents also own and operate a salon called “Salon C`ville. At first I thought Grace was just a super nerdy and book smart girl. Later, as I got to know her she was one of the coolest persons to talk to. She is very outgoing and always tries new things. She likes to say her name Grace doesn’t fit her because she got a cut on her elbow and isn’t very graceful at all.

Grace is so easy to talk to. She's such a character, and by looking at her you would never guess how crazy she is! I first thought that she was going to be really quiet and conservative but I still remember her doing her ninja move during the volleyball game yesterday! I love the way we were able to see everybody come out of their shell through the past couple of weeks that we've been here.

Grace is a very academic person. Mostly all the time we were at our confrences and meetings, she was always there to put here comment or thoughts into action. She is great person but sometimes she may get into the facts. I really think that one day she will become a great photographer, because it is a talent and passion that she has. I hope she will go to college after she graduates from high school and continue her success in life.

I`m so glad I got to meet Grace! She`s VERY intelligent and SUPER talented! She`s a great photographer and enjoys some of the same music as me. I was fortunate to be in the same tutorial group as Grace, and it was a pleasure working with her on one of the learning agendas.

GRACE!!!!!! She is super cool. so easy to get along with. She's always happy, I don't think I've ever seen her with a frown on her face. Sumtimes she ignores me because she's all into her PHOTOGRAPHY! Its okay though. She is really good with cameras, I have to admit. She makes me better after ignoring me, with a FRIDGE FULL OF DRINKS!!! by the way Im thirsty, soo expect a visit from me soon.

What can you say about Grace, except that she is very intelligent and she always knows her facts. Grace was in my tutorial room and I remeber everytime the proffesor, Dr. Potter would ask a question and no one knew the answer, Grace tried to come up with an answer, and most of the time she was correct.

Grace is an awesome woman. She's got her life all planned out for her. She is such a determined girl who's in love with photography, very intelligent. From the first meeting I knew I would get along with her. What I'm going to remember the most is when she fell on her butt during her presentation. Although it wasn't planned it seemed as if it fit right into place. I miss you Grace!
