Tutorials: It's Not All Fun and Games.

During tutourials, we always discuss the medical case and then go into making educated guesses on what happened and write down facts we know. But things don't end after that. After discussing the case, we go into what we want ot learn about. That can include new words, sympoms of a disorer, a type of drug, or the effects a certain drug can do to you. This is called our learning agenda and that's where we are assigned a certain topic to research about, and the next day we present the information in our tutourial groups. So even when we're learning, we still have homework to do. I thought it was easier than what I expected because we got to work in pairs and when we presented our information, we got to be creative and do skits, show clips for visual aid, or we got the group involved by doing a word hunt or a simple test. I liked doing the learning agendas because it is a really great way to show one's creativeness and to learn something at the same time.

The most dreaded words I've learned these past weeks in boston: Learning Agenda! Its not all fun and games. They make it sound so fancy, but really what it is code for is Homework. We've had "learning agenda" everyday, and boy is it fun (haha). Us hawaiians are so smart we can handle it. lol

I really liked tutorials. I liked that we were able to work in pairs. I also liked the fact that the lesson was very structured and had some kind of routine to it so there were no unexpected tasks that would catch me off guard. The work wasn't too bad at all especially because we were able to work with partners.

I love the way that they disguise our homework with the words - "Learning Agenda." My tutorial was always so anxious to make new Learning Agenda, and even though we were supposed to come up with about four, we usually ended up with six, seven, or eight! Despite its similarities to homework, Learning Agenda has proved to be more rewarding. Even though it was a daily thing it didn't make me resentful like most other homework assigned to me. Because we were able to pick and choose our topics, I enjoyed researching and making presentations. I also loved being able to choose how we wanted to present it to our group!

Learning agenda was a good way of meeting everyone. I also got to see yooh worked the hardest and who played around.

Although it took up most of our free afternoon and night time, learning agenda was always fun and interesting. All the time and effort put into researching and writing our papers paid off the next day when we presented, for with everything new that we learned, we could infer what would happen next in Spotted Eagle's case. It`s always fun to learn about unfamiliar chemicals, drugs, and treatment centers, things I`m not familiar with, and this is why I appreciated the learning agenda portion of tutorial.

Tutorials are one the most enjoyable parts of the program, because it allows you discuss openly on a particular case study--it doesn't pressure the burden of solving anything on your own. I like that.

I knew it was going to be a very difficult course to take and I was right. The learning agenda's was the most challenging because sometimes the homework would take a lot time to do. The best part I did like was the tutorials because that is where we could chat and express our doubts about the Spotted Eagle Case. I really enjoyed the time I spent with my group and it was a blast.

I miss doing the learning agenda because in my tutorial room you always had a partner and it was really fun because we had to make up a paper with both of our ideas, and sometimes, for some people they had the same exact ideas, but for others their ideas were totally different.

I have to say that tutorial was by far the most exciting part of the day. It was a time to wake up and think deep. Truthfully, I think tutorial is where I learned a lot.
